Abstract: |
Two evaluation trenches were excavated in advance of redevelopment of the site. While the site was situated near to the southern edge of the present town it lay close to a possible early focus of settlement centred on the church. Little archaeological evidence was recorded, apart from a late medieval ditch and a post-medieval feature. [Au] |
