Abstract: |
Desk-based assessment identified that there was likely to be a good survival of any extant archaeological deposits, from the prehistoric period right through to the present day. Significant evidence should have survived for the topographic development of the area with regard to the River Thames. This was due to the lack of known development on the site since the formation of the Twickenham Park Estate in the thirteenth century. A successive monitoring of engineering boreholes for a bio-stratigraphic assessment as requested by English Heritage, concluded that potential for palaeoenvironmental reconstruction on this site was extremely low.[Au(adp)] |
