Abstract: |
Monitoring work was undertaken on a geotechnical survey consisting of five test trenches to gain more information on the make up of the ground. A large feature was noticed in two of the trenches and was identified as the remains of cellars belonging to buildings that used to front onto High Baxter Street. It appears that the remaining area has at some time been levelled and no occupation layers could be seen immediately over the subsoil. [Au(abr)] |
