Abstract: |
An evaluation of land proposed for a science park development revealed a very uniform natural stratigraphy of pastureland soil across the whole site with no evidence of activity prior to the establishment of the fields themselves. A single flint flake was recovered from the base of the topsoil, otherwise only a scatter of 19th century china was found. The partly ruinous buildings of Derriford Farm were also examined and photographed; none of the visible fabric appeared to be earlier than the late 18th century. [Au(abr)] |
