Abstract: |
The report summarised the monitoring of the erection of display boards at various locations. At the majority of the sites the work did not cause any disturbance to archaeological deposits although at the Bishop Auckland Deer House part of the footing for a buttress was revealed and at St. Pauls Jarrow, the previous panel had cut into a stone wall footing below the doorway into the medieval cemetery. A possible cobble surface was penetrated at Brough Castle. [Au (abr)] |
