Abstract: |
Five evaluation trenches were excavated at the site. Trench 1 and 2 uncovered a palaeochannel, a single wooden stake and a post-medieval bank. Trench 4 uncovered the remains of a 14th-15th century building, comprising of a wall, internal mortar and clinch floors, sealed by an abandonment layer and 17th century garden soils. Trench 5 yielded further floors, cut by a pit and an undated post hole. [Au(adp)] |
