Abstract: |
A survey was undertaken of the mound and embanked stone circle wich comprise a Guardianship Monument, to record the current condition of the monument. Erosion was largely confined to the embankment of the stone circle, where the number of eroding patches and their extent seemed to be steadily increasing. Deliberate damage to the monument was noted and included a hole recently dug into the embankment of the circle on the southern side, probably in an attempt to re-erect a stone slab. [AIP] |
