Abstract:		 Seven trenches were excavated. Well preserved evidence of medieval occupation was discovered, including the remains of a 15th century undercroft on the site formerly occupied by the White Swan Inn. In addition seventy-six points were sampled with power probe equipment to produce a profile indicating the depth of made ground across the site. [Au(abr)]
