Abstract: |
The watching brief was requested due to the sites proximity to the megalithic complex of Rollright stones to the east. The finds were limited, perhaps due to previous stone quarrying here. Two naturally formed frost fracture wedges and a single pit of Iron Age date were observed, together with another possible pit feature. Two quarry holes of probable Victorian or 20th century date were also observed; the remainder of the deposits were modern. [Au(adp)] |
