The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 The evaluation comprised trial excavations of a selected number of upstanding sites of prehistoric date. The study area, 22 hectares of moorland pasture, contained a rich archaeological resource comprising evidenece for early mobile communities (of Mesolithic date), a cairnfield (of Bronze Age date); field systems with possible evidence of houses (of likely Bronze Age but possibly Iron Age date). In addition the physical remains of medieval farming practices were identified together with some limited evidence for small scale post-medieval mining activity.[Au(abr)]
