Abstract: |
During footpath replacement at the site, the opportunity arose to gain an insight into the survival of the Greenwood House, a building no longer in existence that appeared on the 1843 Tithe map. A short wall footing was observed, corresponding precisely with the position of the Greenwood House as shown on the Tihe map. It was assumed with a degree of certainty that this was indeed the house in question. Little time was available for the recording of the structure, however a scale plan of the features was produced.
