Abstract: |
The assessment concluded that the foreshore at the construction site had little archaeological potential at or close to surface level because of the development history of the area, particularly the 18th- and 19th century embankments. The demolition work had little or no archaeological impact but a hand crane on the Scantin Pier merited preservation and, if possible, display and interpretation on the new pier. [Au(adp)] |
