Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained on the site. Saxo-Norman pits and post holes were observed along with gravel extraction pits. The features were sealed by a clunch built structure of c. 13th century date, which was cut by pits from the 16th century and drains from the 17th century. A 16th century building had stood on the site prior to the construction of the 19th century museum. [Au(abr)] |
