Abstract: |
Two test pits were excavated in an area of woodland within Petersfield Golf Course on the route of a proposed storm drain. A possible land surface was seen, overlain by colluvium. Fourteen Mesolithic retouched tools and struck flint flakes (probably all residual), two sherds of post-medieval pottery and a fragment of a shotgun cartridge were recovered, mainly from the uppermost colluvial deposits.
