Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the cutting of foundation trenches for an extension to the south-east of 72 Bleachfield Street, in order to fulfil a condition upon planning permission. A small quantity of Romano-British and medieval pottery was recovered from the trenches but none from stratified archaeological deposits. A number of archaeological features were recorded, including a brick-lined well, the foundations of the existing house and two modern ceramic drains. [Au(adp)] |
