Abstract: |
Eight trenches were excavated to evaluate a plot of land on the east side of the A429 running north out of Stow on the Wold. Two modern post holes, a tree bole and the possible ghost of a dry stone wall were recorded. A single sherd of residual 15th or 16th century pottery was discovered within one of the post holes which also contained three sherds of modern pottery. No pre-modern archaeological features or deposits were discovered. [Au] |
