Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation consisting of four trenches were dug. Deposits of soil suggested that substantial disturbance occurred across the site during the 19th and 20th century. Infilling has formed the present made ground, probably during the construction or demolition of the railway line. Any archaeological deposits that may have existed have probably been removed by this disturbance. Brick walls encountered in Trenches 2 and 3b were probably of modern origin (1960s). [Au(adp)] |
