Abstract: |
The watching brief established that much of the site had been severely disturbed by recent recreational activities and fly tipping. A collection of surface artefacts produced seven pieces of flintwork, six probably from the Mesolithic and one more likely to have been from the Neolithic period. The remainder of the material dated to the 19th and 20th centuries, with the exception of part of a post-medieval brown salt-glazed narrow-necked jug found at the north-eastern boundary of the site.
