Abstract: |
An excavation was carried out at a site where wood fragments had been found during a previous evaluation. The wood was found to relate to a line of upright stakes, which supported wattle panels and ran parallel with a gravel path. The stakes ran between two panel-lined pits. C14 analysis of the wood and examination of pottery indicated an early medieval date. [AIP] |
