Abstract: |
The study showed that the site was located in an area which had been developed since the 1830s. The assessment area was occupied by late Regency and Victorian properties until the late 1950's, when the area was cleared prior to redevelopment. The negative impact of the proposed development on archaeological remains was likely to be significant as it would occupy most, if not all, of the site, and new foundations would cause disturbance of archaeological deposits.
