Abstract: |
A total of eight trenches were excavated. Significant archaeological remains were recorded on the western part of the site. These included structural elements such as walls and floors and suggested the presence here of well preserved settlement remains of Early Iron Age date. In the central part of the site, post-medieval or modern quarrying removed any evidence of prehistoric settlement. A settlement boundary ditch may have been located in one trench in the central area.
