Abstract: |
As part of an ongoing conservation scheme for the Cantilupe Shrine, a small scale excavation of the foundations of the medieval monument was undertaken. The excavation demonstrated that only a small portion of the earlier foundation of the shrine remained in situ, and that the rest had been destroyed by the subsequent construction of later foundations on the site.
