Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief conducted during a residential development did not reveal any medieval archaeological remains, suggesting that the area lay outside the medieval town, consistent with previous finds recorded in the SMR which all derive from the east and northeast of the development. It was suggested that occupation may have begun along the road frontage during the 18th century. Some post medieval pottery sherds were identified.[Au(AIP)] |
