Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a residential development. A number of Roman artefacts had been recorded in the surrounding area, and documentary evidence indicated the potential proximity of medieval deposits. A post-medieval manor house had once lain on the site. During the evaluation, walls of the house were revealed and several possible features which may have related to the manor gardens were observed. It was concluded that the site had no archaeological potential. [AIP] |
