Abstract: |
An appraisal of a site which lay in close proximity to the former location of Kilburn Priory was carried out. Three engineer's test-pits were examined, and some documentary research was undertaken. Some material of post-medieval and possibly medieval date was noted. It was concluded from the documentary search that Belsize Road was likely to have been the lane which led to the priory, and that there was a real possibility of outer court buildings being present on the site. An evaluation was recommended.[AIP] |
