Abstract: |
Research was carried out to assist planning proposals in the area. The site was probably the location of a medieval moated manor that was demolished around AD1500. An L-shaped pond at the site was thought to be the remains of the moat. The site had become a landscaped pleasure garden by the early 19th century, but most of the buildings were demolished between 1912-1931. [Au(adp)] |
