Abstract:
A watching brief was maintained during ground reduction works to the north of Chittinghurst Barn. Various modern deposits were recorded as well as a sandstone wall foundation, and a possible natural clay floor all possibly associated with a lean-to shutout, identified during a previous survey in 1979 (ESRO HBR 1/456).
