Abstract: |
An impact assessment was undertaken of the archaeological implications of proposed improvements to the A421. There were no SAMs within or close to the development area and there were no known archaeological features within the development area. There was a low/medium overall potential for unknown archaeological deposits or features to be present within the development area. Specifically the development area had a low/medium potential for unknown archaeological deposits or features to be present the prehistoric or Roman period. There was a low potential for medieval and post-medieval non-agricultural features being present. The proposed development would have an uncertain impact on any unknown archaeological sites within the development area, although the potential for the discovery of archaeological sites was considered low/medium.
