Abstract: |
<summary>Excavations were carried out at Sutton House between 1990 and 1992, in advance of extensive refurbishment by the National Trust. 12 phases of development at the site, from its foundation in 1535 until 1904, were recorded during the excavation and were described in the report. It was noted that a fuller history of the house could be compiled using documentary evidence and the results of an analysis of the standing structure by English Heritage. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea}{italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} SUT90 (Museum of London Site Code) |
