Abstract: |
An historical assessment was undertaken in an attempt to portray the history of a group of contiguous mill sites immediately to the east of, and below, Exeter's Cricklepit Mills. The use and development of the mills was traced from their construction in the 1450s through to their subsequent re-use as flour mills and finally as warehouses in the 1920s and 30s. This demonstrated some five hundred years of industrial history. [AIP] |
