Abstract: |
A desk-top assessment of a proposed development site within an Archaeological Priority Area was undertaken. Two bronze age artefacts and a sherd of Roman pottery had been found in the vicinity, and the possible route of a Roman road passed nearby. Medieval settlement in the area had been documented, and dense development had occurred from the mid-16th century. It was concluded that an evaluation would not be necessary. [AIP] |
