Abstract: |
Geophysical survey and fieldwalking were undertaken on land proposed for the development of a motorway service station where a number of cropmarks had been identified, including a possible ring-ditch. All artefactual material recovered was of post-medieval or modern origin and geophysical survey identified no anomalies which could be positively identified as archaeological with the exception of indications of field drainage and a general scatter of ferrous debris.
