Abstract:		 <summary>A topographic survey supported by documentary research was undertaken to assess the archaeological implications and constraints of proposed development. The earthworks of a medieval moated enclosure, ponds and associated buildings, including a possible site of a chapel and a windmill mound (protected as a Scheduled Ancient Monument) in the eastern part of the site, were found to be well-preserved, surrounded by a medieval field system. The documentary study showed that the moated site was occupied from the 12th to the 14th century, and was crossed and partly disturbed by a racecourse in the 19th century. {italon}AIP{italoff}
