Abstract: |
The site was dominated by the Hill Paul building, but there was a number of smaller buildings that were associated with Wood and Rowe builders merchants, dating from the construction of the nearby canal to the 20th century. The SMR showed that there was no recorded archaeological information prior to the 18th century, and none specifically for the site except for the canal. An archaeological evaluation was recommended.
