Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment was carried out on the proposed development area. The assessment identified that the site was within the area of a Saxon settlement, Tile Cross, which dated from c.800 to 1000 AD. A Listed Building, Sheldon Hall Farm Barn, was within the study area. The site was identified as having archaeological potential for Saxon settlement and later agricultural activity associated with the hall. [Au(abr)] |
