Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment of the site showed that there was little documentary or cartographic evidence for the presence of archaeological remains on the site. However, the proximity of the study area to known archaeological sites and the fact that the area was heathland until the last century did suggest firstly, the possibility that archaeological deposits or features may have been present, and secondly, that any archaeological features or deposits present may have survived relatively undisturbed.
