Abstract: |
As part of a preliminary assessment a desk based study was undertaken at Kimmeridge Bay. The archaeology of the area was first noted in 1768, when Iron Age and Romano-British shale working waste was identified in fields adjacent to the Bay. Excavations in the area have revealed significant settlement and industrial remains. It is thought that remains survive well and further investigation is necessary. [AIP] |
