Abstract: |
The evaluation uncovered several large pit features in trenches 5 and 6. All contained sherds of medieval pottery. The function of these pits was uncertain though clay extraction was a possibility. Other features identified in the evaluation included modern post holes/pits. Several gullies in trench 6 were identified. No finds were recovered from one gully while medieval finds were recovered from another. Many modern field drains were uncovered. [Au(abr)] |
