Abstract: |
The watching brief found two interesting archaeological features. A drainage channel formed of chalk blocks, brick and sandstone slabs ran across the trench from east to west, and could best be interpreted as an underground conduit carrying waste water from a basement room. There was also a brick wall running north to south along the east facing section of the trench underneath a modern foundation supporting wall. [Au(abr)] |
