Abstract:		 A watching brief during the excavation of contractors test-pits, pile foundations and manholes during the construction of an adventure play building, showed that despite extensive 19th century basementing, very little truncation of surviving archaeological deposits had occurred. A single sherd of mortarium was recovered. [AIP]
