Abstract: |
Excavations prior to the extension of The Judges Lodging Hotel exposed a limestone wall along the north-east boundary of the site. At least four different building styles were evident, and one part had a mortar/plaster facing. It was considered possible that the wall exposed was part of St. Wilfrid's Church, whose exact location had been lost after demolition sometime before 1587. [AIP] |
