Abstract: |
Three trial trenches excavated in advance of a housing development, revealed a single ditch crossing the site. This ditch contained sherds of unabraded medieval coarseware and metal working slag, and was sealed below a brickearth type layer containing further unabraded sherds of medieval pottery. The filling of the ditch and finds within the brickearth type layer appear to date to the 12th-13th century [Au(abr)] |
