During the course of the archaeological evaluation five trenches were excavated. 67 features were recorded, these included 20 ditches, one possible ditch, two terminal ends or pits, six pits, two possible pits, 32 post holes, six stone packed post holes, one possible post hole and one hearth. 20 features were provisionally dated to the Early Iron Age and one to the Saxon period from the ceramic assemblage.
