Abstract: |
During a watching brief for a new miniature railway station, stone building foundations apparently demolished in the 17th or 18th century were encountered. Medieval pits of the late 14th century and late medieval/post-medieval features were thought to represent the deserted settlement of Stapleford. A range of finds associated with the features including pottery, animal bone, glass and brick were also recovered. [Au(abr)] |
