Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief and other recording work was undertaken during the construction of the Four Barrows windfarm to identify and record any archaeological sites, features or artefacts affected by the works, in an area adjoining known Bronze Age barrows and prehistoric flint scatters. There was no evidence for disturbance by the development of any major archaeological remains. A record was made of more than eleven features exposed by topsoil stripping, seven hedge sections, eighteen flint and other stone artefacts (including two pieces of worked quartz) and twenty four sherds of pottery.
