Abstract: |
The watching brief found that the area had been heavily truncated, and any archaeological features that may have been present had been destroyed. Several large dressed stones were found to have been used as backfill. These were tentatively interpreted as part of a structure, possibly the medieval defences of the town located in that particular area. [Au(adp)] |
