Abstract: |
The desk-based assessment identified no known archaeological sites and finds within the area of proposed development. There was an uncertain potential for prehistoric and Roman deposits and a low potential for early medieval and medieval archaeological deposits within the area of proposed development. Although the site appeared to have suffered from extensive post-medieval and modern disturbance there was the potential for archaeological deposits from the prehistoric and Roman periods surviving in undamaged areas of the site.
