Abstract: |
Monitoring of the excavated strip foundations and the largely reduced ground area revealed evidence of post-medieval ground raising layers over an earlier large mid-to-late medieval west-to-east orientated ditch. In addition, a small pit was located adjacent to the ditch on its southern side and was undated, but given its proximity to the medieval ditch, it was suggested it was of a similar period.
