Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of foundations for extensions to both the western and eastern wings of the standing structure of Hankridge farmhouse. No features were found in the western extension foundations, but three features were located on the eastern side; a well, a pit and a foundation trench. No dates could be established for the well or the pit, but the foundation trench was associated with the standing structure, dated to the 16th or early 17th century. [Au(abr)] |
