Abstract: |
The excavation revealed the remains of a probable 16th century stone building. Associated with it were a number of pits. In the early 18th century, it was replaced by a barn with stone footings and in the mid-late 18th century a brick built farmhouse had been constructed. A stone lined well and two linear pits of the same date were also found. By the late 19th century further out buildings to the farm were constructed. The pottery found indicated a domestic use for the structure. [Au(adp)] |
